Channel won't delete from Favorites

The Impact Channel added itself to my Favorites list in the Xfinity Stream app. It won't go away. I tap the white star, but it comes back on after 1 second. I've tried everything. I accessed it online, and was able to remove Impact from my Favorites list there. But it remains on my list in the Xfinity Stream app. Deleting the app and reinstalling did not work. I read where others have this issue. Why can't Comcast Xfinity fix this? It's not like they don't have money.

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us today. We are sorry to hear that you are having issues from removing the Impact channel from your favorites. Our team is here to help. 

 

We would first suggest performing a system refresh on your equipment. This may remedy the issue the fastest. I have listed some instructions below for you to try. Once you have, let know if you still see the issue! 

 

Performing a System Refresh on X1

  1. Press the A button on your remote control, or visit the Help section in Settings. (Saying “System Refresh” into your Voice Remote will take you to step three.)
  2. Highlight the System Refresh tile, and press OK.
  3. Please remember that performing a System Refresh will interrupt all X1 TVs and recordings in your home for up to 10 minutes. If you would like to proceed, highlight Refresh Now, and press OK.
  4. Once the System Refresh is in progress, don't unplug or turn off any of your TV Boxes, which will automatically restart during this process.
  5. The X1 Welcome screen will appear after the TV Box restarts.
  6. Once the System Refresh has been completed, your TV Box will return to live TV.
  7. The System Refresh feature can only be used once within a 24-hour period, so if you continue to experience issues, you can Schedule a Call to have a specialist troubleshoot your issues.

Cannot delete CBN and Univision from my favorites. When I unstar them, it automatically restarts it within seconds. Neither are channels I would ever watch! Clearly Comast is manipulating my favorites to keep them on. As I’m not Spanish speaking there is no way I would ever watch Univision. I also would never watch the Christian Broadcasting Network.
