Ethernet/Wired Connected Devices NOT showing up on xFi app or Xfi Website

I'm currently using xfinity gateway router CGM4331COm and I'm having issues with ethernet/wired connected devices NOT showing up or not populating on the list of connected devices. I can confirm that they are connected and can fully access these WIRED-connected devices.

I have called technical support asking them for any way or any configuration I can make so that I can see my wired-connected devices and they said they have no way to show devices that are wired-connected, which is completely UNACCEPTABLE. I have checked every advanced settings configuration and I can't find any settings that would allow me to find my wired connected devices.

My wired connected devices don't use IPv6 and actually have them disabled on my NIC card -- this is the first thing that I found that supposedly needs to be disabled.  I was told that I will get a callback but sure seems like xfinity NEEDS to train their technical support better.

I have two separate accounts with you and paying almost $300 a month for a service that I can't even get decent support - this is very disappointing!

Hi, @user_e6b009. I appreciate the time you have taken to work on this and we definitely have steps we can take to look into this. Ethernet devices should show up as all devices connected can show in the app. I have the same model and all my wired devices show, even the ones on my switch on port 2. If you have an ethernet switch it needs to be used on port 2 only. Can you give me specifics of your setup of ethernet-connected devices?

Hi my camera and door bell and phone will not connect to the new x because they only operate on the 2.4 hz broad band...how do I set that up?

Hi @user_a0fa71! You can utilize these instructions to edit and differentiate your 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/change-wifi-mode-admin-tool-xfinity-xfiI hope that's helpful, but please let us know if you have any trouble along the way!

@ComcastEthan

this is related to wire devices.

I am trying to connect a western digital my cloud. Directly wiring with ethernet is just simply not working for some reason. The port lights on both devices are not blinking, or even showing yellow. My cloud device is not showing up as a connected device so I don’t think it is communicating at all with the router modem combo.

have other people had trouble connecting my cloud devices or network attached storage. Are there any settings I can change on the router to get them to communicate?

thanks
