XRE-10000

So I’m trying to help my friend set up his X1 box, and after entering the phone number all he gets is an XRE-10000 error. If anyone can help, please do. It’s really annoying because he just wants to watch TV.

I've had the same problem. We've tried calling, but whenever we tell the automated message what the problem is, there's no response and it hangs up after a minute. Calling isn't a good option.

Try chatting with an agent - https://www.xfinity.com/xfinityassistant type in chat in the message area and select TV support. Tell the agent your device needs to be set to active status in the billing system.

Can you tell me how you got your device? Was it shipped or did you pick it up at a retail store?

I am having the same problem. I called the number and was on the phone with them for a couple hours but it’s still giving me the let’s talk message.
