Greetings @user_rosss02 [Edited username]! Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to visit our community. I'm sorry to hear that we have made you feel this way about our XR15 remote. I love my [XFINITY voice remote](https://comca.st/3z3m15z) as the voice commands make it so convenient for me when watching TV. At Comcast, we are always striving for technological innovation. If you would like to stick with the XR11 remote, you can always pick one up at your nearest XFINITY service center. We would love to see you. How does this sound?
@XfinityGabriel How can I pick up this remote at an Xfinity store when there are none to be picked up? This remote is not being stocked. The only way to get one is buy it on ebay. But either way, this does not answer the question as to why the XR11 was replaced by an inferior product/
@user_rosss02 Our service centers should still carry the XR11 remote for pick up but if not I can always ship one out to you. We made improvements to the XR11 remote and released the XR15.
@XfinityZacharyA where are these "service centers" ? Are they different than stores? When I've been in a store, they have none. Is there a cost to ship them?
You can locate our service centers/stores (you can find remotes at either) by visiting https://comca.st/3IgqKWN or by using the My Account app. We are unable to specify the remote in shipments as either the XR11 or XR15 may be shipped as a fulfillment for an X1 remote.
The XR11 is no longer in production and is being phased out so you may need to visit a different store to see if they have any still in stock.
@XfinityTambrey Driving from store to store to store to store..... each time hoping they have it while not knowing if they do... and not having a phone number to call the store to ask before I spend my time driving to it only to be dissapointed... is not a good solution
Do you have a better idea?
Because the XR11 is no longer in production and is being phased out is exactly why none of your stores seem to have it. You are asking me to wish it to be there.
Hello :) To pair your remote with your cable box you can click on this link (https://comca.st/3Fvk6dL) and watch a video. I have also provided steps at the bottom of this message to help out as well. Let me know if you need anything further.
1.Aim your remote at the TV Box (must have a clear line of sight). https://comca.st/3oHviwU the A button on your remote. 3.Choose Remote Setup on your TV. https://comca.st/3oDd4gf’ll be asked, “Do you want to use your remote to control your TV power and volume?” Select Yes. https://comca.st/30CAFFL’ll receive a notification that your remote is now paired for voice control. You’ll then be asked, “Would you like to control your TV using your remote?” Select Yes. 6.Type in the brand of your TV using the on-screen letters and numbers, if applicable. Then, select OK. https://comca.st/32dIja3 should see a notification that your remote is now Ready to pair. Select OK. 8.Confirm your pairing was successful by attempting to adjust the volume on your TV. If you can adjust the volume with your remote, select It Works! If you cannot adjust the volume with your remote, select It Doesn’t Work, and repeat the process again. Once your Voice Remote is paired, follow the on-screen instructions to set up power, volume and input control for your TV and audio equipment.
Hey there @user_8249ca, thanks for reaching out! Great question. At this time, our voice remote doesn't have a voice function to control the volume. If you go to https://comca.st/3Io5Y7l, it will provide some information on the type of commands that you can use with your remote! Please let us know if you have any other questions!
Hey there @user_39f1a0! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to Xfinity here on our Community Forum. We are so glad to hear from you and want to help out in any way that we can today. The XR11 can be paired with most X1 compatible devices. If the device is not at all X1 compatible, I would venture to say no. We can always give it a whirl for you. Shoot us a private message so that we can give it a try.
To send a "direct message" / "private message" message to Xfinity Support:
• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
• - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
• - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it

Can the XR11 remote be programmed to control my older DCI105COM1 box?
It currently uses the Digital Adapter Remote.
