Xi6-T DVR questions
My Comcast DVR died and when I went in to swap it they only had the Xi6-T wireless DVR available. So I have hooked it up and mostly I'd like to hear what others experiences have been with it. Do you like the wireless or prefer the XG1v4-A DVR better? Any tips for using this box?
I have run into two problems already. First is the MAC address it is transmitting isn't the same MAC address that is on the bottom of the box. Is quality control that bad? Second, I tried to pair a second remote with the Xi6-T but it wouldn't take. I have 3 remotes paired with my XG1v4-A box. Is there a way to pair a second remote with this Xi6-T box? Thanks

So although the Xi6-T worked fine once I got it set up ) the MAC address wasn't the same as the MAC address it broadcast so I had to manually add the right MAC address into the untilities). But it didn't play well with my other Xg1v4-A DVR. I couldn't tell how much was being recorded to the cloud by the wifi onlyXi6-T. So I had Xfinity send me another XG1v4-A by mail and then returned the Xi6-T. However, if I only had 1 DVR and a good wifi set up I would have no problem keeping the Xi6-T.

the Xi6 is a companion device. It can be used in TVIP mode if you do not have an Xfinity rented gateway/modem. If you have a gateway from Xfinity and xn xg1v1,2,3, or 4 (4k) they are connected via coax cable. Your x1 DVR includes the cloud DVR. the Xfinity xr11/xr15 can be rf paired to the xi6 box, too. the limitations are currently 5 per x1 set top box.

MyXi6-T is wifi. It doesn't have a co-ax connection but looks like it has a Ethernet connection.
The problem with having an Xi6-T with a XG1v4 that actually has a hard drive is my XG1v4 shows how full it is but the Xi6 doesn't tell me how full (the cloud) is so I have no idea if I need to delete something or how much. When I had 2 XG1v4's I could tell how full they both were as a total but not how full each box was individually.
And of course I still can't get the Xi6 to accept more than one remote.
