Xi6 4k box with Cable Modem in Bridge Modem

Is it possible to have your cable modem in bridge modem with Xi6 4k boxes? I've tried, and the cable boxes do not receive a signal. I've connected them to my wifi and ethernet network, but it hasn't made a difference.

Thanks,

Don

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to our Community about this @donandersonjr. That can certainly cause an issue. If you review our link here https://comca.st/3zaTRJb. It does state that there are some requirements for the device such as you'll need Xfinity TV service, at least one additional X1 TV Box to act as the primary X1 device on your account and Xfinity Internet with an eligible leased Wireless Gateway with RDK-B or customer-owned approved cable modem/gateway. Let me know if that helps!

@XfinityJoshD Hi, and thanks for responding back. I do have tv service, and the XG1v4 box as well as a XiD X1 that are both still on coax. I am leasing the xb7 cable modem. I found whenever I turned the modem to bridge mode, the xi6 boxes were experiencing connectivity issues.  I ended up returning the xi6 box for another xid box. 4K will have to wait….

Oh, gotchya; thank you so much for sending over this update! I'm deeply sorry for all the trouble, to get to the point of us having to wait this one out for the 4K. Is there absolutely anything else that we can help you with, while we're still connected? We always want to make sure that none of your questions or unstated concerns go unanswered!

currently, no (not heard plans). the Gateway provides communication to the in home DVRs (if any) via MoCA. If it was activated on a gateway in bridge mode then currently the MoCA isn't active in the modem and the device would simply act as a streaming device similar to a Roku or fire stick. I tried not to make this too technical.
