XG1v4 resets resolution every night

Every night my box downgrades the resolution to 1080p. Daily I have to go to the display settings and set it to 4K. This has only been happening the last several weeks and it’s annoying. I do have a 4K display. Any fixes available?

I have this same issue, using Yamaha A/V receiver. Any one have ideas? I wish there was a "hold"/expert mode that allowed the XG1v4 to not "auto/negoitiate" down to 1080p.

I should add that mine is wired through a Yamaha receiver also. Still that should not be an issue. It used to be fine.

I am wired up to a Yamaha AV as well. Same annoying issue.

It happens every day when I first turn on the TV. The resolution has gone back to 1080p. I reset it to 4K best available and it’s fine all day. Next day back to 1080p. This is regardless of watching tv or an app. It’s the box that resets. Thx.

For clarity, are you watching an app or channel when you notice this, or does it also happen if tuned to live TV? Does this happen after the TV exits power saver mode?

Well, a funny thing happened while we were waiting and the jury isn't in yet BUT.... For the last few days, I have not had the issue. Not sure if there was a Software/Firmware Update between then and now.

 

But to recap and answer your questions. It happens on any mode, App or Live TV. Every time I turn on my TV/Cable/AV, I have to change the Device Settings/Video back to 'Best Available' .  It doesn't happen when I'm watching TV/App, only when I power everyting back up.

It’s only a one day sample, but mine did not reset overnight last night. Fingers crossed.

I'm still good. It's been a week. I'm guessing the new update we got on 10/20/2020 fixed it.

Happy to report that mine is still holding there.  Such a pleasure to not have to reset resolution every day.
