XG1V4 'RECORDING' DVR Questions!

I was told when I received my XG1V4 that recording is done internally to a HDD. Since then I've seen it 'debated' and 'argued'! Is QAM content recorded to an internal HDD and maybe the IPTv content recorded to 'The CLOUD'?

I believe newer DVR's only record to the Cloud.

Your 'beliefs' I've doubted previously! I didn't come here looking for an IBELIEVE. Might you be correct? Certainly possible!

There's certainly info there regarding 'Cloud recording' but I asked a very straight forward question regarding internal to the XG1V4 to a HDD.  Again the conversation in the link seems to talk 'around' the question and avoiding the question. I never mentioned an 'issue'!

The box in question can most certainly record programs and store approximately 150 total hours of HD programming on the hard drive, and 150 hours of Cloud DVR storage per X1 DVR.

Now, keep in mind the account does need to be subscribed to the full DVR service in order to use those 150 total hours on the hard drive. Here's a great overview of the X1 DVR service

Please let me know if this helps!
