Xfinity web remote not working

My Xfinity web remote won’t work anymore keep getting same error saying unrecoverable error no compatible box found yet my box is up to date and works perfectly no resets worked 

one technician suggested the only fix is to replace the cable box with the newest upgrade and that would fix the issue  however that seems like a lot for a single simple online web remote access issue and am wondering why the box I have suddenly stop connecting with the remote control website?  It’s allows me to pair using the one time code in each room using the x1 home remotes but as soon as I switch it on the website between rooms bam the error pops up everytime and it freezes ???
