Xfinity DVR will not record anything on CBS

All this week, the DVR will not record anything on CBS.  On the guide it shows the red dots at the program, but it doesn't actually record them.  It won't even record the current program.  If I go to Saved/Scheduled, they don't show up in the list (even though the guide shows the red dots).

 

I unplugged the power for over a minute and the DVR reset, but it still doesn't work.

 

I saw that a large number of people were having a similar problem in November, 2020.  Some people got it resolved, but I don't know how.

 

Does anyone know a solution?

Hello, @JudMcCranie. Thank you for your post! I understand you haven't been able to record shows on CBS, and I can see how that would be frustrating if you miss your favorite programs. I've had similar issues with my equipment, and I'm sure we can get this sorted out. To confirm, does this only happen with CBS? Have you tested other networks with similar results?

@JudMcCranie Thanks so much for updating us that this is occurring with more than one programming channel. This happens to me every now and again when my storage is looking a little full. How is your dvr storage space looking?

Since I wrote the original message, I found that the problem also is on MeTV from Jacksonville, FL, which is WFOX-TV. 

 

I'm wondering if this problem is caused by CBS All Access?

It is only 19% full.  And, of the channels I've tested, the problem is only on any CBS and WFOX-TV.

Hello, @JudMcCranie. Me again. I tried to send a Private Message to you but I get back an error. It shows Please enable Private Messages to allow sending a private note(s). I am not able to send one to you unless you allow them in your settings. That may be the issue with being able to send one to us as well.

Hmm, @JudMcCranie I am at a bit of a loss as that is the error I get when I try from my end. I really appreciate you working with me so we can get this going. When you click on my name it should take you to another page where Private Message shows up in a blue button on the right side of the page. When I click on my name at the top of my post and the page changes I see a grey bar that shows my name and the blue Send a Message button to the right of my name. Are you able to try one more time for me since my system won't allow me to send you a Private Message from my end?

The PM thing just doesn't show up for me. 

Can you tell me how to turn it on?  I checked my account settings and didn't see anything about it.

Can you do it on the forum? 

Otherwise, can you email me?
