X15 Remote

My X15 remote back light does not come on with motion.  It only lights after  I press a button.  This is not good when in the dark room.  Is this a faulty remote, or is there a way to get it back to working without replacing?

Exchanged the remote at the Xfinity store.  All is good now.

Hey @hdog2, thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support on our forums. The backlight can sure come in handy and I'd love to help. Although there isn't a setting for it, if you say "remote settings" into the voice remote it will show the battery level which is the first thing I'd recommend checking. Taking the batteries out for a couple of seconds until it complete powers off and then putting them back in would be a good step too. If neither of those things fix it, then the sensor may have go out and we can definitely get you a new one.

I have the same problem.  Happened when I replaced the batteries.
