x15 remote input not working with hisense 40A45H tv

This question was posted a year ago and I'm having the same problem

I have an X15 remote and am trying to get it fully paired with my Hisense TV. I followed the onscreen instructions for remote pairing, and am able to use the remote to control TV power and volume without issue. However, when I press the “Input” button nothing happens. I tried a factory reset of the remote by pressing and holding A and D and imputing 9-8-1, then repeated the pairing process. Again it allows control of power and volume but will not control TV input. What else can I try or will it just not control input for the Hisense? Thank you.

I've already tried all of the above, as well as tried all of the Hisense codes in the Comcast remote programming instructions as well as the codes for the other hisense-Roku tv.  None of the codes work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @user_2563c2. I can definitely understand your frustration when you can't change the input on the tv. There are so many devices we connect now. I know it's been a couple of days. Do you still need help pairing your Xfinity remote to your new tv?

@XfinityCam

Thank you for your reply.  I called Xfinity the other day and they spent 30 minutes trying to resolve my issue with the Xfinity remote without resolution.  At the end of the call, their solution was for me to continue using the Hisense TV remote to change input modes.  Was not thrilled with Xfinity's support, but if there is no fix, it appears that there is nothing Xfinity can do.  I guess it's not the end of the world using multiple remote controls to control your devices.

Thank you so much for your detailed response and for the update. I know you mentioned above that you tried a lot of steps trying to remedy the input issues. Did you try factory resetting the TV to see if that helps?

Have not tried factory resetting the TV.  Great suggestion but at this point we'll just use the TV remote to change input.  Thanks very much for the follow up.   Regards
