X1 set top box blinking green

I've gone thru all the troubleshooting, even left it unplugged at one point for over an hour. It gets to the screen where it says a software update is in progress, but then stops and the screen goes black. PLEASE HELP!

ricknmandy Thanks for reaching out for help with your X1 box. If you are still having trouble with the TV box, I would be happy to help get it working for you. 

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

PSA...For anyone else having this issue, no amount of troubleshooting and online tech help is going to fix it. Your box bit the dust and needs to be replaced. Save yourself the (literal) migraine and swap it for a new one at your local Xfinity Store.
