X1 DVR box running very slow

I am having issues with my main DVR X1 box running extremely slow. I first thought it was the WiFi and swapped out my modem, but it’s still them same. My smaller boxes in other rooms run extremely well and fast but not the one in my family room. It seems others are having the same issues. Are there other boxes to choose from, possibly something upgraded?

Divinemsm99 Good afternoon! Thank you for reaching out to our Xfinity Forums Team for assistance with your DVR. I can see how this would be frustrating. May I ask if it's happening when you are watching live TV, recordings, On Demand, or all of them?

It takes a long time for streaming channels to load, then buffers or stutters while playing. Also, there are times when regular channels freeze or stutters while watching.

I am having the same problem.  Using the Xfinity internet speed check, the signal is fast enough for 4K videos.  The small box in the bedroom also runs without any flaws.  I have used the Xfinity app to reset the box many times.

@david.g1 Are you having any connection issues on other devices while using them? What sort of troubleshooting steps have you taken from your end?

I usually try to to reboot the box, sometimes it helps but then slows down again. Changing the channel or rewinding live TV also is a very slow process. Like I stated the smaller boxes in the other rooms are very smooth but the main DVR box is very slow to react
