X-1 Box Upgrade - Required?
We were recently sent an X-1 box we did not request.
When my husband tried to install it, it would not properly work on our (relatively new) TV.
Customer support could not help as we do not use Comcast as our internet provider and the technical person could not tell us how to proceed. Since this is a change we never asked for, my husband returned the X-1 box and reconnected our old box. I'm still getting notices asking me to activate the X-1 to allow us to access upgrades to the system.
My question is ... with these 'upgrades' to the cable system, are we being required to switch to X-1?
If not, what 'upgrades' will we be missing out on ?
Are we required to us Comcast/Xfinity internet?
