X1 box flashing blue bar on right
Usually the box has an aqua colored vertical bar on the right side of our box. Last couple of days I’ve noticed it is blinking a blue color. So last night I unplugged it and it restarted and went back to the solid aqua. Tonight, again, I see it’s flashong blue. What’s going on?

@Mcfeely1,
Thank you so much for posting your question here in the Xfinity Forum. Without knowing what specific X1 box below is a chart of the light configuration for our X1 boxes.
RNG150 and XG1 TV Boxes
Xi3, Xi4, XiD and XG2 TV Boxes
The "Loading/Rebooting" status on our Xi3, Xi4, XiD and XG2 devices usually occurs after an update. You can modify your scheduled device update window by following the directions below.
Changing the Daily Update Time for TV Boxes
With any device issue, we recommend cleaning the device, ensuring it is in a well-ventilated area and reboot the device by unplugging it from the wall outlet, wait 30 seconds and then plug it back in. If you continue to experience this after rebooting the device and outside your update window you could also be experiencing low signal to your box or a defective device. You can test the outlet by connecting a different box there. If the issue persists with the other box, you are likely in need of a technician visit. If you do not experience this issue with your other box, you likely need to replace the defective device. You can replace it by taking it to a local Xfinity store (find your local store here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/service-center-locations/) or we can help you replace it here.
Additional information about the flashing lights on X1 television boxes can be found here: https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/TV/ANSWERED-What-does-the-flashing-light-on-my-Xfinity-X1-box/ta-p/3236602
You can let us know your results here and we can assist further.

The OP says they already tried that, and it only worked overnight.

I contacted Xfinity tonight, 6/4/2019, for the same issue. I was told that the blinking happens when the box starts to lose the incoming signal. I can still watch any channel I want to. They are shipping me a new box to replace this one.

while on live TV press the 'left' button to review your notifications. after reading highlight the X on the same line and delete the notification.

As noted in the thread answer, it’s not a problem if it’s flashing. If it truly bothers you that it’s flashing, turn the light completely off

Mine just started blinking, and the light is bothering me. How do I turn the light completely off?

If your "Power Saver" is not "ON" :
On the screen go to "Xfinity / Settings / Device settings / Power preferences / Power saver" (turn it on). After the TV is turned off, the cable box will turn itself off after a while, and will stay off until the TV is turned on again. After the first cycle, the blue light stays solid, no more flashing.

push the Xfinity button on the remote, scroll to the far right and select the gear icon. scroll down to device settings, scroll to the bottom and select device lights. select power light brightness and then scroll to far left to turn off.
