Who / What decides which channels get Smart Resume?

It's on the major broadcast channels and a few others (HGTV) but not others that I watch (History, AMC)?

Who or what decides which channels get Smart Resume?

Thank you, @ for reaching out over our Community Forums!

You ask a great question about our Smart Resume feature!

Smart Resume lets you easily resume watching your program after fast-forwarding through commercial breaks in DVR recordings. When you start to fast-forward, you’ll automatically be returned to where the show picks up once the break’s over. Smart Resume is turned on by default for all customers.

Smart Resume isn't available for all programs and networks. Right now, Smart Resume is only available for top shows on NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, CW, Bravo, HGTV, Discovery, MTV and TLC. It can only be used on eligible HD programs you recorded after January 1, 2019. We’re actively working on increasing the programs and networks Smart Resume is available on.

We hope to have more network, and shows added soon!

Why do I get "smart resume" on only part of a show?  The yellow bands appear only at the beginning or at the end?

Hello, @user_4a4fae! Thanks for your question!

We are still developing and improving on Smart Resume, so sometimes the feature won't always pick up on every commercial. We do apologize for any inconvenience this might cause, but we are working to give you a more consistent experience soon! :)

I no longer work for Comcast.
