Where Can I check DVR capacity and usage ?.

Ok I'm a very new user of X1 archecture. Literally less than 24 hours.. I have maintained a whole house Tivo setup that we just replaced plus so I'm fairly competent on networking, routing and IT install and repair.  However I have dome a ton of  compairing the leading whole house solutions

(Dish, Direct, ATT) and the Xfinity hybried solution of Broadband / Streaning and Cloud) and COST won me over. I have a XG2V2-A and a XG1V4-A installed, I can not figure out how to verify DVR capacity and actual usage, looked everywhere to no avail.  Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks, I'm  Bob

Update, I found Percent used..    Depress  'Xfinity' - 'Saved' - scroll left to 'Recordings'  number of recordings and percent used are in the upper right of screen.

Total Capicty seems to be only of interest to us techy gigabit watchers and is not generally available.

the firmware allows only 500gb to be available no matter the drive size (currently). cloud DVR has a 60 hour in process of being converted to 150 hour capacity.

Rustyben.. Please  forgive my ingnorance. There seems to be something I have not yet grasped, how do cloud and hardware DRV operate together.  I installed the XG1V4  and XG2V2 and I am paying $20.00 additional/mo. for more recording space. As far as the recording ( Saved) selection I see no diferentiation between cloud or DVR when browsing recordings. All I see is a percentage used, and I still do not know how they (cloud/DVR) all tie together. When the setting for ' Sync ' says it will run at a certain time exactly what is it syncing, and specifically where do my recordings reside  ?  If I stream a recording fron a remote device (PC or Roku) is it pulling it from my home network, or from the Xfinity cloud.  If I watch a recording on my home TV where does it reside ?

Depending on the market you’ll have either 60 or 150 hours of recordings accessible on the Stream app. Your recordings are stored on the dvr’s hard drive. The sync is used if you swapped dvrs and it retains scheduled recordings and other settings and makes accessible whatever is on the cloud. Since you just started, the dvr and the cloud look similar but the more you record, you’ll find it to be different (you’ll have more recordings on the physical dvr).

To add: Local DVR recordings are only on QAM channels. Recordings of IP channels (like HD versions of some narrow-market channels) will always be cloud-only.
