Viewing tv recordings drops out DAILY

Some tv recordings will playback perfectly and then another recording will just stop during playback.  This has happened daily for the past several months.  Yet, a year ago this NEVER happened.  Sometimes I will get advice on the screen to check connections which I have done many times and they are ALWAYS OK.  Most of the time it will just switch out of the "play recordings" mode into the regular broadcast channel it happens to be set to.  This happens so often that I have started looking into switching to a streaming service like YouTube TV.

Is your recordings stored on a box with a mechanical hard drive or do you have cloud DVR Service?
