TV screen pixilated after upgrading box and internet speed

All of a sudden, our TV screen is corrupted. Have sat on hold and talked to Xfinity reps who said they were fixing from afar, but they haven't helped at all. Latest box, fastest speed, can't watch TV. I keep being told we have an outage but we don't. Now what?

Hey there, @cmcoaching, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your TV services. We definitely want to ensure that your services are working properly for your needs. Are you getting any error codes or messages?

A less conventional fix is to install a splitter between the line going to your modem and the main cable entering your home. This increases signal attenuation, which can help restore your TV service. However, it will disable the “mid-split” feature, meaning you’ll lose the higher upload speeds (above the standard 40 Mbps).

This solution assumes you’re using legacy Xfinity equipment and prefer not to switch to their newer streaming TV service, which doesn’t have this issue. If faster upload speeds aren’t a priority for you, your download speeds should remain unaffected.

Source: This solution is based on my own experience as an electrical engineer using legacy Xfinity equipment, where this approach successfully resolved the issue.
