TV remote Lag
Hello,
we just had our TV box exchanged at a Xfinity store due to lag in watching recorded programs when signal sent using remote control. Is there a solution?

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to our community here on the forums, @user_c883d2. Just to clarify, did switching out the cable boxes help with the lag on your recorded programs or are you still having this issue with the new box? Did they also replace the remote when you went to the Xfinity Service Center?

I also had an issue with a 10-15 second lag before a recorded program even began to fast forward when I pressed the fast forward button on the remote. After 4 phone calls to customer service, 1 exchange of cable box at local Xfinity store and 2 home service calls (including another exchange of cable boxes), I finally solved the issue. The X1 box Model-MSCC9063 has a hard drive in it. This means that the shows you record are local, in the box right in your house. The result is that fast forwarding starts immediately. They tell me that the shows are also recorded in the cloud - might be good if you lose power. We have other streaming options through our Apple TV and do not have problems with fast forwarding those programs. I don’t know why streaming recorded programs with Xfinity in the cloud is so problematic, but until they fix it, getting the Xfinity cable box with a hard drive should solve the problem.
