Hello @dicky875 Thank you for reaching out to us about the screen saver. At this time the screen saver can not be disabled however, you can change the settings to 5 hours. To make the changes you would press the Xfinity key then Setting Icon>Device Settings>Screen Saver>Screen Saver Start After. From here you can choose 5, 15, 30 minutes or 5 hours.

I agree. I used Google automations to improve my quality of life because of my disabilities and unfortunately I can turn the TV on but not view content because of the screensaver. Is very frustrating here this cannot be disabled

I pay over $300.00 a month and if I want the TV on all day that is my business and it should be available. [Edited: "Language"]

I agree, customers need to have the option of turning off the screen saver!  My elderly parent leaves the TV on 24/7.  When it comes on she does not know how to get the tv program back on, resulting in late night trips to her home just to push a button to get the stupid thing off the TV!!

Hello @user_a72dc8, it is nice to meet you! I certainly understand your concerns, as of the moment the maximum time is 5-hours to delay for the screensaver from turning on due to inactivity. Do you know the steps to change the inactivity time for when the screensaver turns on? If not, I will be happy to walk you through the steps to do that.

I no longer work for Comcast.

@XfinityXavier The Problem is. WHY was the option even removed to have it disabled. Some people like to have the background noise. Some people Sleep with the tv on, Some people have disabilities where they cant do it without assistance from another person.

Its not that hard to put it back to where it was, where there was a OPTION to disable the screen saver. Its Clear that alot of people do NOT want the tv going to screen saver mode. So just put the option back to disable it.

@XfinityRay

They will not fix it. Their CEO said so. He does not care. It is their weather channel and used for advertisement. They changed max hours from 5 to 4 hours and left settings saying 5 hours. I'm considering going to Verizon even if price is the same. I pay about $300 @ month. I have 6 receivers because of disable person. I spoke with Verizon and they also have the screen saver but you are able to not use it

I truly apologize for the frustration this has caused. The maximum amount of time you can set before the screensaver comes on is 5 hours. This link provides instructions on how to change that timeframe: https://comca.st/3KlWsCE. I know that it doesn't remove the screensaver but it does push it back quite a bit. I hope you find this helpful.

I have a husband with dementia who watches westerns all day and cannot operate a remote or TV.  If I'm out then he has to sit and stare at TV because no sound or picture is on.  I would like to know how to fix this problem also.

Hey @user_23cfc2, thank you for reaching out to us on our forums. Currently there isn't an option to disable it completely but we do appreciate your feedback. Our site here, is another great option for product feedback. Xfinity uses these feedbacks constantly to try and have the best options we can for our customers.
