Tivo CableCard "D261" issues.
Hi. I swapped out my Tivo Bolt for an Xfinity box because the CableCard was dropping channels with "Channel Unavailable/D261" errors. Xfinity swapped out the CableCard, but that did not fix the issue. The Xfinity box is cludgy and unintuitive compared to Tivo. You can't switch between channels and then rewind those other channels as sports fans love to do and where Tivo really shined.
Does Xfinity have plans to address the issue of broadcasting IPTV channels through their cablecards so that Tivo Bolt and Tivo Edge would not be dropping channels I've paid for from their UI? It boggles my mind that this issue has not been addressed by Tivo and cable providers such as Xfinity.
Thank you.

This is a known TiVo problem, and is not limited to Xfinity. I am under the impression that TiVo is incapable of fixing this on its existing boxes; they're just not meant to handle IPTV channels, any more than they can handle things like Switchable Digital Video (where the box tells some server which specific channels to send, as opposed to sending all of them at once and having the box select which ones to air; this is why TiVo doesn't work with AT&T U-Verse).
