Timing off on recordings by 42 seconds
For over a year now the time on our recordings is 42 seconds off - recordings start early and end early, with the issues at each commercial break. Has anyone developed a fix for this yet?

I have pretty much the same problem and I'm getting tired of going into "modify Recording Options" every time I record something to add 3 minutes to the end-time. I would like to know how to permanently change the set top box to automatically add 3 minutes to each recording. Either that or have Xfinity make sure their system/network time is in sync with the programming and start when the program starts and end when it ends. (Yes the programs do start early besides ending early.

because the timing is optimized for cloud recordings and are therefor off on regular recording in the DVR
Comcast wants it this way, eventually all recordings and channels will be cloud based

That's been going on for about 3 years now. Comcast's internal clock got out of kilter and they do not seem to know how to fix it.
