Sofabaton U2

How do I fully and correctly pair my U2 - I tried pairing it via IR but couldn’t get it to pair all buttons (I.e. record, up, down, number keys, etc). I contacted the sofabaton team and they said I need to get an IR blaster.

how do I connect with purchasing more tech

Hi @Zh15, I took a look around and this seems to be a pretty common issue for some U2 remotes. A fix for this seems to be using the model number on the bottom of the cable box for pairing rather than the model number on the front of the X1 box or the remote control model number. I will place two articles below that layout our X1 TV box and remote control types. Would you mind letting me know which equipment you are attempting to pair the U2 with?

I am not aware any external remote can be paired with an X1 box. Is that possible? I have an X1s Sofabaton remote. It can control a Comcast box using IR, but not RF. And, without a number pad, voice control, or a way generate a command for the Xfinity button, it's kind of worthless with my Comcast DVR.

I got some of the functions to work but not a majority (which I also think that made the U2 worthless). I was hoping to use a universal remote and not have three remotes (fire stick, Roku tv, and the X1). But ty, I was curious after the unsuccessful pairing with the U2 to know if any universal remote would work with the x1. I’ll probably just return the u2 then. Thank you

@Zh15 I use the X1s with a TV, AVR, Fire Cube, two disc players, and Xfinity. It's fine for the all the others, just not Comcast for the reasons I posted. So, I am down to two remotes instead of six.
