Slow Apps and Response

New customer here. My third party apps are unbelievably slow.  Is this normal? Even scrolling through the apps to select a show is slow to the point of unusable because of how long it takes for the cursor to move.  I also have shows on these platforms that just stop playing for a beat or two like in the old buffering days.

I just went from all over-the-top back to cable for sports, but I am rethinking this decision if this is how Xfinity performs.

I’ve dealt with support but it didn’t help. Just a lot of remote tests telling me my internet is fine and a bunch of equipment restarts. A remote fix they said they performed on the “box” didn’t help. 

Any suggestions?
