Slow App response and load times.

Why is there so much lag time between the remote and 3rd party apps on the X1? Even load times are much longer than using my roku. Is there a simple fix besides calling a tech to come out?

Is there anything we can do to stop this lagging for all apps. I haven’t seen anything on this blog that will help?

I’m having the same issue. And it’s not just apps. Voice command takes multiple attempts to actually work. Today I replaced my x1 box and remote. Just got home and am setting up the new box and it’s doing the same thing!

That definitely sounds frustrating. Is your modem relatively close to your equipment?

here we re 2022 and discovery plus still loads slowly, if at all. And response time with remote takes al  long time.

And we pay extra for it too.

Please advise or fix.

@user_303091 I know how frustrating slow load times can be and we are here to help you look further into the issue. Is this a new issue that has just started for you? Are you using the Xfinity Flex or X1? Any further information you can provide would be helpful.

We have X1 and the lag time (especially on Paramount +) is unbearable. I can’t believe so many of us are having the same issue and it hasn’t been fixed. $200/mo everything should work like the Swiss train system.

Serious lag tonight with the Peacock app via Comcast X1. Sounds starts before the video appears, video seems to lag about a minute behind. So we can hear the start of the show but have to wait about a minute until the video kicks in. Very strange.

Hey there @user_bba292  and thank you for bringing this issue with the Peacock app via X1 to our attention here at the Xfinity Community Forums. That is certainly a strange issue indeed with the audio beginning before the video. May I ask what troubleshooting steps you have attempted so far such as those that have already been discussed in this thread so we can make sure we're on the same page?
