Separate modem connection issues

I don't have a modem for my bedroom & I can't retrieve any of the channels I'm getting in my living room. Do I need to purchase a separate modem for my bedroom tv?

Do you mean modem or a set top box like the X1?  Each TV needs a box.  You might be able to connect the cable directly to the TV and get basic channels.  Not sure if that's even a thing these days.

@BIslander I'd prefer another Modem to render this issue, just wanted to know if that was the issue.

user_3mx6tm Are you trying to stream on your TV in your Bedroom or do you have one of our TV Boxes connected and still not getting the networks you have in your living room?

An FYI. Nope. It won't work. Everything is encoded these days.

Confused.  Xfinity gateways combine a modem and router for internet connections, not for TV, unless you are using the Xfinity Stream app.  Not sure you can even install two modems or what the second one would do.  Guess I can't help.

Typically they only allow one cable modem per residential address.
