Restart and Watch Now No Longer Availabble on Live TV and HBO

I have lost the ability to restart a show, or watch now. It used to be availabble on the majority of the channels I watched. In fact on HBO, I had watched Upgrade on HBO using the watch now and the very next day that option was no longer available. I called tech support and they said it was only HBO, but I also a, not able to do the same on many of the Science channel shows I watched. I have restarted numerous times and many people are complaining about this on the other thread. Someone even said a tech came out and did not resolve the issue. Obviously this feature has been removed and we would all like it back as that is the point of having On Demand. I know this feature is available on Direcctv and Verizon FIOS. Please help!

@user_hn8oyf Thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Forums. I apologize that the Watch Now and Restart functions have not been showing. This is a problem we are aware of and actively working on. You will see these both come back to your service once our Engineering team is done with the repair work.

You can still navigate to the program using On Demand or you can say the program name into the voice remote (and select an episode if it is a show and not a movie) to Watch Now. There is no temporary solution to Restart aside from Rewinding the show.

We appreciate your patience while this is being resolved.

It was also available on SHO and Starz but no longer. It's still available on SYFY. Online tech said I could restart in 2 hours and the feature would be available. It isn't. Xfinity keeps raising prices while taking features away. Xfinity needs to put this feature back.

I am also upset that this feature has largely disappeared.

I just noticed this feature was removed as well. I'm on the phone with support and they don't have a clue either. If it weren't for this forum, I'd be lost. Xfinity is going down in flames.

Hello, @user_0ghopa. I certainly understand the importance of being able to have this feature available while trying to enjoy your services. We are aware of the issue and our engineers are still working on getting this resolved ASAP. As a temporary fix you can navigate to the Video on Demand menus to select the content to restart it until a permanent fix is in place.

This may be the last straw xfinity prices keep going up and services getting less time to cut the cord.

Xfinity restored "Restart/Watch Now" in South Florida this weekend.  Let's hope they continue to offer us this valuable option in the future.
