I would be more than happy to offer my assistance looking into this further for you. Are you still seeing an issue with the welcome screen stuck? We would recommend a full power cycle of the modem and the cable boxes.
Pardon me for suggesting the "stereotypical customer support answer," but have you tried unplugging the box and then plugging it back in? You would be surprised how often that works.
If it doesn't work, then (a) how long have you had your box, (b) is it a DVR box, and (c) is the box making any sort of noise? It could be that if there is a hard drive inside, it has gone bad.
