Really need help on my setup and XR15 remote

I have an Insignia Fire TV and Yamaha soundbar. Here's what I'd like to be able to do with my XR15 remote and I need to know if this is possible.

1) Control Power for the TV

2) Control the volume up/down for the soundbar

3) For the TV inputs, I plan on using the Insignia remote

4) For the Apple TV, I plan on using the Apple TV remote

Are 1 and 2 possible with the XR15 remote?

Solved my own issue after nothing worked in this thread. Code 32458 for the Yamaha ATS-1070 works.

Hey @Glen_Cove, thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support on our Forums. That's a great question and both should work. Number 3 will also work on the XR15 but you can use the insignia one as well. Our website here, lets you select the remote and the device you are wanting to pair to give you the instructions on how to pair.

Thanks for the reply. I tried and and I can successfully program the XR15 to control each device separately, but not at the same time.

Thanks for the update, @Glen_Cove. When you do the programming are you doing the TV programming and then setting up the soundbar during the same process or are you setting up the TV, then opening up the pairing settings again to set up the soundbar?

It won't let me pair the TV and the soundbar in the same process. It allows to only pair the TV and an AV receiver at the same time.

Thank you for these details @Glen_Cove. Please use this helpful link; https://www.xfinity.com/support/remotes which will walk you through the steps to pair your remote to the model TV you have. Please let us know if this helped and if you have any questions. I appreciate you working with our team.

I did below and can control the TV...  I then did the other procedure below and it successfully controls the soundbar volume but no longer controls the TV power. Just seems that I can only control one or the other.

Pair the XR15 Remote to Control a TV:

This will allow you to control your television's power, volume and input from the XR15 remote.

  1. While the TV is on, press and hold the Xfinity and Mute buttons together for five seconds until the remote light at the top changes from red to green.

Pair the XR15 Remote to Control an Audio/Video Receiver or Soundbar:

This will allow you to control your Audio/Video Receiver or Soundbar’s power and volume from the XR15 remote.

  1. While the TV and Audio/Video Receiver or Soundbar are on, press and hold the Xfinity and Mute buttons together for five seconds until the remote light at the top changes from red to green.

I see, thank you for clarifying @Glen_Cove. I am happy you are able to control the TV, now we just got to get it set up to turn your TV on/off. I was able to find this resourceful link here; https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/programming-your-xfinity-remote. When you pull up this link you will want to follow the steps that say "Program your Remote Using Our Online Code Lookup Tool." I will be here if you run into any issues. :)
