RDK10000

Recently got an upgrade to new X1 boxes. Swapped all old boxes for the new ones. Install is very basic . Coax from wall to Cable in then HDMI out. Booting box goes through normal welcome screen then after a few mins I receive RDK10000 error on all 3 boxes. Read that a lot of people have had this problem . What’s the fix people? I e done the merry go round with boxes in different rooms and all that fun stuff.

@user_00a57f thank you for reaching out to us. My great team is here to help with the issue with the RDK-10000.

These are the first steps to try.

Check your cable connections are tightly secured.
Unplug your gateway/modem and then plug it back in

Unplug all of your tv boxes from their power sources for ten seconds, then plug them back in to restart

@XfinityDannyB are you saying that we have to have all of our boxes unplugged at the same time? I don’t want to do that for fear of losing cable completely. This setup could be much easier. Why not leave well-enough alone for cable users? Newer isn’t always better.
After 35 years with Comcast, I’m seriously considering switching.

@DMLK You can unplug at different times. The upgrade is needed because technology advances and old tech can't be support. This is standard in almost all industries. We can always send out a technician at no charge to take care of it. Let us know!

I no longer work for Comcast.
