Poor picture quality - for years
Is there any way to improve Comcast's picture quality? (Especially NBA games?) I don't want to have to look for another service, but after years of this... I'm resolved to get what I pay for.
I have Comcast's 4k box/4k service, a Sony A80j OLED tv (excellent tv) HDMI 2.1 cables (all new) etc etc. My cable box settings are set to all the best settings.
Help please? Is there anything I can do to avoid canceling?
I'm mean, I'm not exaggerating when I say that this TV has an amazing picture (well documented) but Comcast always looks horrible by comparison. Their compression is killing the quality. I use ANY other app... Internal or on an external device...and the picture is wonderful. It's just Comcast's service.
I hope I'm wrong. Let me know please.

Possible bad cable connections. If it's a wireless box, possible bad internet connection.

I'll chat you, but I've called in before with no successful solution.

I have had pixelation issues with concast for over 5 years, particularly on CNBC, but more recently on all HD channels. I have had many Comcast service calls and 3 corporate cases. Nada.
I believe the problem is in Comcast’s network engineering. They try to jam too much content onto too little bandwidth. In essence they are screwing their customers by designing in poor picture quality. With the advent of streaming, on which Comcast makes incremental revenue, the problem has gotten much worse.
I want to start a class action suit.

I join the group, complaining about picture quality. We have new bulk service to our condo building, a 3-year-old HD TV, with an X1 box, and the picture is definitely not HD... It's more noticeable when watching sports (which we do a lot!), BUT EVEN WATCHING STUDIO-RECORDED PROGRAMS LIKE JEOPARDY, WHEN THERE ARE 4-5 PEOPLE ON THE SCREEN THE PICTURE IS SIMPLY NOT SHARP!
