Peacock Premium Plus - $9.99 a month?

I saw an ad on my X1 box offering a free three months of Peacock Premium Plus.  The fine print says that after the three free months, it will cost $9.99 a month.  Is this right?

We currently get Peacock Premium for free which is $4.99.  If we want Peacock Premium Plus we have to pay the entire amount for it and not the $5 difference between Peacock Premium and Peacock Premium Plus?

a month or an additional $50.00 per year for the same great Peacock content with fewer ads.

I looked at that link and logged into Peacock and it does say that it is only $5 per month.  However, the ad displaying on the X1 boxes should be much clearer.  Here is the ad:

This is an ad on an xfinity device with xfinity links on it and it is saying it will be $9.99 per month.  If anything, it should say the upgrade fee is $5 per month for xfinity customers.

Xfinity Flex and X1 customers have access to Peacock Premium included at no additional cost (a $4.99 per month value). In addition, customers with two Xfinity services, such as TV and Internet, or any TV customer with Digital Starter service or above can access Peacock Premium on third-party devices. Peacock Premium Plus costs $5 for Xfinity customers and $9.99 for non-Xfinity customers.

It absolutely should. https://www.peacocktv.com/offer-terms/xfinity-offer says only:

Terms & Conditions

This Peacock promo code (the “Code”) grants you access to the Peacock tier currently known as Peacock Premium Plus subject to all applicable terms and conditions, for 3 months (your “Access Period”) at no charge (a $9.99/month retail value).  ... Unless you cancel before the end of your Access Period, when your Access Period expires, you will be charged for your Peacock Premium Plus subscription at the then-current monthly fee (plus tax) ...

Not a word in there to suggest that customers who are already getting Premium can upgrade to Plus for just $5.

I'll never understand how this $100 BILLION company fails so badly on so many fronts.
