Pausing a tv show

When we pause a live tv show now, it restarts after about 10 minutes. It used to pause for maybe an hour or so.

I can't seem to find a setting to change the length of the pause. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @user_65c481, and sorry for the inconvenience. You can pause live TV using the X1 guide on all X1 TV Boxes, except for RNG150 devices. To pause, simply press the Pause button on your remote. When using Xfinity free live-streaming channels, note that pausing may resume to the current moment of programming instead of the exact pause point. Currently, does this happen with all live shows and on all channels?

This occurs on both boxes and for all programs we watch live as well as some streaming. (I've responded to this twice but I don't see the previous responses posted).

At this time, I do not see a setting that can be changed for the pause timer but our team will make sure to pass your feedback along. If you are watching a show and going to step away you might want to exit or close it to avoid this.
