Partial pictures at start up

When I turn on my tv first time in the morning, the picture loads slowly and often with a very small picture in the upper left corner. I have tried resizing through the tv menu, which doesn't work. I am able to fix it via the cable box video display menu by resetting picture to 4:3 then back to 16:9 hd. Once the picture is resized, which sometimes happens automatically, the system seems to work fine for the rest of the day. I have run system refresh and turned off zoom on both the box and tv. What's going on?

To send a "direct message" / "private message" message to Xfinity Support:

 • Click "Sign In" if necessary

 • Click the "Direct Message" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging 

 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

 • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 •  - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 •  - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

 • Press Enter to send it
