We know how frustrating it can be when your remote won’t pair, especially when you're stuck at that step.
It sounds like your remote is getting into pairing mode (green light), but not moving forward to accept the code.
A bit more detail can help direct us to better assisting you. When your remote starts flashing green, are you seeing anything on-screen that provides you the code you need to enter to complete the pairing?
If the batteries in the remote are new, and you're not seeing the code, you may want to refresh everything by restarting the tv box (unplug it for 30-60 seconds, plug it back in and wait for it to boot completely.) Then remove the batteries from the remote and place them back in after about 30 seconds to reset it as well.
