@user_f0m4hz

Thank you for reaching out. We apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with the X1 guide.

Have you tried unplugging the TV box’s power cord for 30–60 seconds to perform a hard reboot?

Alas, no joy. Still can't access the favorites guide...

Okay thanks for trying. After getting stuck on Quick Tips try pressing the **Pause** button on your remote to see if it'll allow you to get back to your favorites.

As in the Play/pause button? That has no effect - still can't access favorites...

If you double-press the guide button, are you met with your standard list of guide filters that include the Favorites option?

The Quick Tips screen flashes for a moment then the guide options screen. The reverse is the same - I have to double-press Exit to get out - passing through quick tips...

I’m in the same boat. Cannot access Favorite Channels because it is stuck on Quick Tip.

Same here in Chicago area.

Cable box Arris X1 Box AX014ANM XG1v4-A

Did a Restart no Favorites.

When in Support site did a System check and this what it says.

"Check complete!

We couldn't find any service issues, try restarting your device to solve common problems."

Tried to do a System Refresh and it says there is an outage. But, when I go to check online there are no outages in my area.

There is a "Planned maintenance in your area is scheduled to start on 08/20/2026 02:00 AM (Central). " (Again :) )

Shows cable box online.

When I go to the Guide and pick Free to me all of my favorites are gone.
Xfinity Stream app still shows Favorites.

Ran a System Refresh via web.

Still no Favorites.

I just added a Channel to favorites and it saved it.

Looks like I will have to enter them again.

Entered them all and saved them.

We will see if they stick.

Not good.

We are having the same problem here in Northern California.  We have two TV's and experiencing the "Quick Tip" screen when trying to access the Guide on both.  We, too, tried to do a Refresh but rec'd a msg saying there was an outage in our area - even through the Comcast website doesn't show an outage.  Strange because we can actually watch TV on any channel we've tried, we just can access our Favorites menu.  We went into Settings and changed our Default Guide to "All Channels", backed out, went back in and set back to "Favorites" but it didn't help.  We just performed a Hard Reboot but it didn't resolve the problem either.  The cable boxes are not the problem.  We see complaints from all over the country experiencing the same situation.  It must have been something in last night's update.  Grrrrr!!!

The favorites have been wiped out. Try adding a new favorite and you'll get back to the favorites view. Have to resave all favorites. This worked for me.

That was a long work around for me. Guess I had more favorite channels than I thought. But it did work putting them all back in one by one. Thank you for the suggestion.

For me the issue isn't that the favorites are gone, it's that I cannot access the Favorites Guide at all.  When you try to go to the Favorites Guide it's blocked behind a Quick Tips screen.

Go to xfinity stream live TV, select favorites. Your favorites are stored there and you can use that to rebuild the guide on your TV. Took me abut 15 minutes.

I called. They did an update that caused a glitch. Many customers complaining same issue, including me. I was told to wait 4-5 hours for the restore. I hung up and just resaved my favorites to rebuild the guide. Faster than waiting hours. You can reference your saved favorites on xfinity stream live TV and select favorites. They are saved there.

Thank you!  Where is the Xfinity stream live TV? Do I press the Xfinity button? What then?

Not on your TV. Use a phone or computer and go to xfinity.com/stream. Log in, same as main xfinity app. There you'll see Live TV and a drop menu to look at All Channels or your favorites. I used my phone to duplicate my favorites on my TV to do this process much faster.

How much do you want to make a bet that when they "Fix" the issue, that all of us who have rebuilt our favorites will have them completely removed again?

@user_1tod7m next day, still not fixed. Xfinity doesn't deserve the prices they charge us. YouTube TV is sounding better and better.

I have done every possible fix that Xfinity assistant said to do and googled fixes to get rid of the quick tips on my favorites. Now we have to use the big guide channel to see what is on. It was fine yesterday.  I am not going to drive to the nearest office just to be told it’s the box when it isn’t.  They need to acknowledge this and fix it.

Same issue here in Tacoma, WA area…my favorites are there, when i look at “all channels” but i get stuck on the Quick Tip when switching guide view back to Favorites…same as other here.  Unbelievable, Xfinity!

Great…i can get back to my Favorites guide view…by unfavoriting, then re-favoriting one channel.  But now my Favorite guide view has…just the one.  So i will have to go through the “all channels” guide view and unfavorite, then re-favorite every channel with the star icon.  At least mine show still so i can do that.  Xfinity blows…

Same here in Metro Detroit . Had to start all over. Thank you Xfinity (find out who botched your Quick Tip implementation and please check to see how it works BEFORE you roll it out)
