NFL DVR highlights on recordings is not an option anymore?

I recorded game 1 of the NFL regular season game last Thursday. Lions vs Chiefs. I went to watch the DVR recording and the highlights option was not available. Normally this is in the bottom right if the screen. The game recorded with no problem. Smart resume was available. But where did the highlights option go?

@user_e404d0 Thank you for reaching out here on our Xfinity Forums. I would be happy to review your account DVR service with you to make sure you are able to access all your NFL game content. Do you have the NFL RedZone from the NFL Network this season?

I recorded the Seahawks vs Lions yesterday (Sunday). This time smart resume did not record properly. The first available smart resume option was well into the forth quarter. And again, no option to watch the highlights. I don’t have Red Zone and I never had it, but I have been able to watch game highlights on my DVR after the game recorded.

Is this the first time it happens. Have you tried recording something else after it happened to check if it is still happening?

Smart resume works on other shows.
I recorded last nights game, Lions at Green Bay, and again, no smart resume and no highlights option.
is there a setting somewhere that I am missing? Can I send you a picture of the screen and show what is missing?

@user_e404d0 Here is a link that talks about DVR Sports Highlights on X1. It is only available for NFL games, however it may have become network specific. The games that you are recording, are they all from one network, or several?

I've been noticing the same issue. The highlights button as illustrated in the link supplied above is no longer appearing on recordings. It has nothing to do with what channels I have or which channels I'm recording.

Here is the applicable text from the link:

DVR Sports Highlights

DVR Sports Highlights lets you watch highlights of an NFL football game after the program ends and to jump between big game moments.

By default, DVR Sports Highlights are turned off. To enable, press the Highlights button on the right-hand side of the transport bar. (Press it again to turn it off.)

An episode of NFL Football is displayed, with the Highlights button in the bottom right of the screen.

Howdy user_cmp119! The Highlights feature is super cool, it seems like your X1 system might need to be refreshed. Have you attempted to do a refresh on you end? I included a great link here that details the process.

I did a system refresh today. The NFL games that I had already recorded still don't have the Highlights button when I play them. I'll have to see if it shows up when I record a game this weekend.

OK, we can follow up after the weekend to check if the highlight function was available to use.

Thanks for the update, @user_cmp119. It looks like the highlight option It’s currently only available for NFL games. Was the CBS game you recorded an NFL game?

When I try to watch NBA or NFL games from my DVR on my streaming device, it only works sometimes. For instance, I recorded the 49ers/Green Bay game and wanted to watch it on my tablet. I was able to watch it live from my tablet, but when the game wrapped up, the recording was gone and there's no replay option. Please advise! If it's on my DVR why cant I stream it?!?!

Thanks cor reaching out, jeliasoph! It could be a rights issue. Do you have any issues with any other channels like this?
