Netflix subscription- keep existing and Xfinity pays monthly fee? Or stop existing and switch to “new”?

Hi

Apologies if this has been asked and answered… I couldn’t find despite searching.
I just upgraded my service to include Netflix. Since I have an existing account with Netflix, I’m trying to determine if Xfinity pays the monthly fee for my existing Netflix account, or, do I cancel my existing a Netflix account, and switch to use the Xfinity account?

If I switch to access using the Xfinity instance of Netflix, do I need to pay for the Netflix subscription?

Last consideration… the email we use for the existing subscription is our existing @comcast.net email. Will that cause any confusion i I need to switch accounts?

thanks!

If Netflix is set up through Comcast, they will certainly bill you. Likely prepaid like most of the bill for the upcoming month.

Hi there @user_d87c2c! Thank you so much for reaching out to us here via Forums. Here is some information regarding our accounts with Netflix included for existing Netflix subscribers.

If you have an existing Netflix account and sign up for an Xfinity package with Netflix service, you will continue to be charged separately for your Netflix account until you complete the activation process by using the Netflix app on your X1 TV Box. You can visit https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/netflix-package-faqs for more information. You should then only be charged via your Xfinity account. You can also visit https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/netflix-billing-through-comcast for billing information.
