Main DVR box works, 1 satellite box getting RDK-10000

I've restarted the satellite box multiple times as well as restarting the main box first. No luck.

Kinda gave up and bought a fire tv stick figuring I'd use the Xfinity app. That doesn't work either. Says I have to be on my home wifi (of course I am on my home wifi)

The new box resolved that problem.

The error I was getting on the Xfinity Stream app on the Firestick (must be on your home wifi (which I was)) turned out to be because I own my modem/router and it wasn't registered on Xfinity as my home modem/router (it was working fine but wasn't registered). Leaving this note in case it might help someone else.

Key steps to try:
  • Power cycle your Xfinity box: Unplug the box from the power outlet for 10-20 seconds, then plug it back in and wait for it to fully reboot. 

  • Check cable connections: Ensure all cable connections to the Xfinity box are securely plugged in. 
  • Perform a system refresh:
    • Access the "Settings" menu on your TV. 
  • Navigate to the "Help" section. 
  • Select "System Refresh" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Thank you. Did all those and no luck. Called Xfinity, they did their troubleshooting and are sending me a new box.
