key word search

When I had the older Comcast box, I would often do a search on the DVR by Keyword.  I have since upgraded to the X1 platform, but can't figure out how to do the Keyword search.  Is that not an option on the new boxes?  For example, I would like to do a search for the word "Thanksgiving" and hopefully any television show that has the word "Thanksgiving" in the description would show up.

Congratulations and welcome to the X1 platform. Thank you for posting your question here in the Xfinity Forum. You can simply say things like "Thanksgiving" or "Holiday Movies" into your X1 voice remote to get all content tagged with that Thanksgiving tag. Additional information on other ways to search the X1 guide can be found here: Search with Your X1 Search Bar - Xfinity Support and additional information about using X1 here: How To Use Your X1 Guide & DVR - YouTube

You can also find available holiday content in our OnDemand area of the guide.

We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

@XfinityJessie Unfortunately that does not work with scanning regular television shows.

How about this article? Does this one help you? https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-search-using-the-remote-keypad

Unfortunately, that does the same thing as your first response.  It doesn't scan the Guide like the old box did.

Okay, those would be the only options we have for the keyword search but I am happy to pass along your feedback, that is how most new features get implemented!

I appreciate that - but what I am looking for is exactly what was on the Comcast box prior to the X1 boxes.
