Issues Recording multiple shows at a time on DVR
In the past, I was able to record multiple shows at a time. It didn't happen often, but sometimes, there would be 4 shows that came on at the same time and I was able to record all 4 shows. Now, I am only able to record 2 shows at a time. One of the main reasons I have always been willing to pay so much for Xfinity tv was for this very thing.
I have called/chatted with Xfinity support 3 different times. One told me I should go pick up a new DVR box, one told me he fixed it and it would take affect in about an hour (it didn't), and the last one told me "it's not recommended to record that many at once; it's recommended to only record one at a time".
Now, I wouldn't mind going to get a new DVR box, but based on what I've read, I don't think the box is the issue. I think it's my plan and I can't even find a representative that has any clue about why this has suddenly changed. I am now looking at other options that offer the DVR service which allows more than 2 simultaneous recordings. I've been with Xfinity for over 20 years, disappointing that this is what will make me jump ship.
