How to stop cable box from being tuned to a channel that I don’t watch when I turn on the TV?

This is driving me nuts! Every time I turn on my TV connected to my MAIN TV box lately, the box has changed the channel to a channel I don’t watch: a channel called MeTV, which plays old movies and I generally don’t like old movies. I never watch this channel. But when I turn on my TV, it’s tuned to that channel! It should turn on to the last channel I watched, but no!!! My TV box is obsessed with MeTV!! 

I will note that’s this has never happened with my smaller box in another room. It’s only the main box that is doing it. 

Now, this had been happening before, but I solved it using a customer’s solution in the forums. I had gone into the device power settings, and turned off the “HDMI Device Control (HDMI-CEC)” setting like the customer suggested, and it solved it for the most part. It would still do it now and then, but not as frequently as it had been doing it. 

I have checked my device power settings, and that setting is still off. However, the box keeps changing the channel whenever I turn on the TV every single time now and it’s extremely frustrating. 

I have already tried doing a system refresh and that did nothing to help. What else can I do???
