Favorites - very odd system

I alternate  TV watching between Streaming on my computer in one room and TV/X1 watching in another.

I added Favorites so I could manage the LONG list of channels I woudn’t watch. Many channels have counterparts that are also added with an addition: 705 (CBS) shows up with 1005 also added. Why the extra channel?  I have no idea.

So to unclutter the Favorites, I started unFavoriting the 10XX versions from the Streamed browser interface.  That went fine - the counterpart remained in the Favorite list.

But not so nice in the TV/X1 world - for almost every channel that I deleted the twinned 10XX channel was also deleted.

How is it possible that the list of Favorites would show up differently on another device?  OK, not the right question, we know that software can be written so that such things would happen.

Why hasn’t this been detected and fixed?

Hey @Roaky, thanks for reaching out to the forum we appreciate your concern. Did you make these channel adjustments on both devices?

@XfinityDuron

Why would I - why would I need to - make changes in more than one place??

I have one account, the same account is used when Streaming or TV/X1.  That single account should NOT have multiple favorites.

If Xfinity set it up that way -- what???

PS and since I'm following this post, why didn't I get a message when Duron posted 21 days ago?
