Entire screen saver becomes an ad??

All of a sudden the screen saver turned into an ad for some HBO dragon show. It doesn't matter if you switch between the incredibly limited options of what you want on your screen saver (landscape, animals, entertainment)- it's all dragons. We don't care about dragons. We pay a TON of money every month for this mediocre TV service. We don't mind the screen saver usually because it's nice peaceful pictures of beautiful landscapes, and it provides a nice background sometimes. But this dragon thing is absurd, weird, and depressing. Not everybody is a dragon show fan. Why can't we keep our regular pictures, and just insert an occasional dragon ad? Or better yet, you'd think in 2022 there'd be a way for customers to add their own images for their own screen saver as it is with basically every other technical device in existence. What gives Xfinity?

I am in complete agreement with you. I have mine set at animals, and I was very irritated to see the beautiful, peaceful pictures of animals replaced with disturbing images of fire and dragons. It is annoying and disrespectful of xfinity to subject their customers to such awful images.

@XfinityJosephB Thanks for your response. Can you please find out from your superiors why the screen saver isn't going back to normal since it's been several days since the show's premiere? And also if this is going to be a new thing going forward? Simply offering us the ability to upload our own images to our account and have our own custom screen saver would be an easy fix - and something Comcast could market as a personalized customer solution, and could possibly attract new customers. But this as it is is utterly ridiculous. Even if I liked the show, I don't need every single slide from every single category of every screen saver dedicated to pictures of the show. I would still presumably have other interests instead of just exclusively this show. Thank you.

Personally, I would like to be able to get rid of the screen saver all together.  My TV is on pretty much 24 hours a day.  I don't need the screen saver.  There used to be a way to turn it off, but apparently, Comcast thinks we all want it, and they have done away with the ability to turn it off.  I have seen posts going back over a year about this issue, and obviously, Comcast doesn't care what their customers think or want.  Just corporate greed.  I've always hated Comcast, their customer service has always been terrible, and this just gives me more ammunition to dislike them.  Time to change providers!!

I really MISS my beautiful landscapes!  Please put them back.  The dragon ads are so dark and dismal.  I thought it was just for a day or so to promote some show.  But they haven't gone away.  Give us back our landscapes, please!!
