DVR Pausing / Freezing

For the past ~7 months when playing back recorded programs the playback will freeze for several seconds up to several minutes. This will occur for a week or two then everything will work fine for a few weeks when the freezing will start to recur. Some days it’s fine and others it is terrible. Sometimes I will get an error message saying there is a problem with the internet which there is not as I can replay the same freezing program flawlessly using the Xfinity streaming app. I try disconnecting the power to the cable box for several hours with no luck. All the cable connections are tight. The situation is intolerable and needs to be corrected.  I spend way too much money for this service.

Hey there, @Psamead, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your DVR concerns. We would be happy to help you with troubleshooting this issue. Can you please send us a Direct Message with your full name and your full address?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.

Just starting watching the Tennis channel and the freezing is now occurring on live TV. If I change the channel to FS1 there is no freezing. This issue must be on Xfinity’s end.

Wow. Since mentioning FS1 when we try to watch the Tennis channel the channel will just change to FS1 by itself after awhile.
