DVR keeps freezing

Literally every show that I DVR recently ends up freezing 3/4 the way through. The sound will continue but the picture freezes. This has happened the last 10 shows I tried to watch. I have read many other users having the same issue. I pay a lot of money for your service and this is extremely frustrating.

I agree and have had the same issues. I ordered a replacement 4k box directly from Xfinity and it is still freezing and pixelating during recordings. We pay ALOT of money for this to happen day after day.

have a recording to test? use a smart phone to view the cloud recording of the same recording. advance to just before it would normally fail and see if you can watch the cloud recording successfully.

I am having the exact same issue! I only watch my shows on my iPad and use the cloud DVR system, . lately EVERY show freezes 3/4 through with only sound working! I pay a fortune for Comcast and the customer service reps at the 800# have no clue about why it’s doing it!

I’m having the exact same problem - my DVR recordings - when I try to watch them on my iPad the

picture freezes up about half way through and only the show’s audio can be heard.  I have to switch my watch options to On Demand and watch all the stupid advertisements in order to be able to finish watching the recording!  I was hoping it would “fix itself” with software updates, reboots, etc. but nothing has changed!  This has been going on for months now - SO FRUSTRATING!

Did you get it fixed?

@user_0f1506 It took 2 different cable boxes to resolve problem. Any other customer having these issues, ask for a replacement dvr cable box until problem stops.

Hello @user_9e35a2. I can only imagine the frustration that you must be feeling. I know having my shows freeze would be frustrating. It has been a couple of days, are you still having this issue or where you able to get this resolved?

I no longer work for Comcast.

Exactly the same - mostly on Bravo. This is an Xfinity problem that’s been going on for ages. When is something going to be done about it? It’s NOT on the subscribers’ end.

This is on my iPad but has happened on all devices/tvs/boxes.

I’m having the same issue and this has been happening for months.  This should be resolved by now.  What is going on?  Please provide a reasonable explanation if this is not going to be resolved anytime soon.
