Constant Remote battery notice on TV

i get a repeated message on my TV that remote batteries running low, even when I put new batteries in. I refresh the system but that only helps for a day.  TV shows remote has 24% battery strength even when I put in new ones. What do I do? New remote?

Any update on this yet? I've tried a bunch of brand new batteries Energizer, Duracell & some Panasonic rechargeable batteries all say batteries are at 24%. Even after rebooting the cable box. I have the XR15 v2-UQ

I got a new modem, cable box and remote and that 'solved' the problem. Wish I could say it was something simpler.

Hey there, @Anon163383, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your remote issues. Have you tried unpairing the remote and then pairing it again to see if that helps? Here is a link with the details, https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/remote-program-the-xr2-or-xr5-to-aim-anywhere?view=app#:~:text=Press%20and%20hold%20the%20xfinity,paired%20with%20the%20TV%20Box.

It worked after I paired it using the xfinity & Info buttons together then typing in the 3 digit code displayed on TV. The Battery level shows 92% but it's still red in the upper right near the time.

@Anon163383 Not specifically, I do apologize, but remotes are free of charge, and you can pick up a new one at a Xfinity service center at any time. It may just be time to get a new one if it is still not recognizing the correct battery level.
