Comcast sent us XG2v2 boxes. Are these DVRs?

Our "pre-X1" equipment includes 3 DVRs, but when Comcast sent the new X1 equipment, they gave us only 2 XG2v2 boxes and a bunch of DTAs. There is no "record" button anywhere.  Is the XG2v2 a DVR?
